Tiefkühl Star to Shine on German Frozen Food Industry

Tiefkühl Star 2017 Night will take place on October 9 during the Anuga food exhibition in Köln, Germany, preceded by a reception at 17:45 in the Congress Center East, Kristallsaal, between Halls 2 and 4 of the fairgrounds.

Sponsored by the German Frozen Food Institute (DTI) and Lebensmittel Praxis, this is the third running of the event, which followed in the footsteps of the Golden Ice Crystal Awards Night originated by the former Quick Frozen Foods International magazine. Key members of that team went on to launch FrozenFoodsBiz.com, a digital media platform that provides the frozen foods industry with timely news and information.

Tiefkühl (the German word for Deep Frozen) Star Night will begin at 18:10 with welcoming remarks from Dr. Sabine Eichner, Katharina C. Hamma and Dr. Thorsten Weiland, respective managing directors of the DTI, Koelnmesse GmbH and Lebesnsmittel Praxis.

Subsequent activities leading up to the Tiefkülh Star 2017 prize presentation at 19:00 will include a panel discussion with experts from the retail trade and frozen food production sectors, and announcement of the winner of the “Frozen Food Retail Department of the Future” project at Stuttgart Media University.

A buffet banquet and networking opportunity will follow at 20:00.
