Cold store Eurofrigo B.V. is an independent business unit with Nichirei Holding Holland BV as sole shareholder. The total capacity of the two Rotterdam-based establishments is 69,500 pallet places. Both cold stores are located in the Port of Rotterdam close to the container terminals and near major highway (A15) to the European continent.
Eurofrigo Limburg (Venlo and Roermond) is situated on one of the most important crossroads (Ruhr industrial area) of Europe. Eurofrigo Limburg has 3 cold stores of 397,000 m³ for agricultural products like vegetables, fruit, French fries, ice cream and bakery products as well as for non-food products like plastics and pharmaceuticals. Eurofrigo Limburg also offers packaging facilities for food products, like pastry for the food service channels. There is also a special packaging line for food available including airline catering. Besides cold storage, Eurofrigo can offer value added services such as cross docking, palletizing, re-packing, labelling, sorting, order preperation, electronic stock control, quality control and more.
Eurofrigo cold stores are equipped with racking systems, a modern warehouse management system and a highly experienced staff. The 160 Eurofrigo employees perform to the highest quality standards, which are certified by KIWA Holland in compliance with HACCP, ISO 9001 and ISO 22000. Eurofrigo B.V. is fully certified to handle Organic and Halal products.
Hygiene has top priority when working with food products. The temperature in the loading area and the cold store rooms is controlled 24/7. V.A.L. activities like portioning take place in our special (B) room, certified by the VWA. With regard to the safety and security of containers and trailers, all our dock boards are equipped with a wheel-lock system.
