Fish and Shrimp Dishes on Church’s Special Lenten Menu

It is normal for those observing Lent to go to church more often than usual. And from February 8 through the end of the 40-day preparation period for Easter, devout Catholics and other members of the Christian faith who abstain from eating meat at that time may find it convenient to go to Church’s Chicken quick service restaurants to order from a special menu of fish and shrimp offerings.

“Lent is a great time for a change of pace, and we’re excited to offer these brand new seafood selections as well as our scratch-made hushpuppy biscuit bites,” said Jennifer Chasteen, senior director of brand and product strategy for the Sandy Springs, Georgia, USA-headquartered chain that specializes in fried chicken. “We expect the Lemon-Seasoned Shrimp and Crispy Fish Filets will be a welcome menu addition that guests will be anxious to see again in the future.”

The menu will provide consumers a choice of eight Lemon Seasoned Butterfly Shrimp or two Lemon Seasoned Crispy Fish Filets plus a small fries side dish and three hushpuppy biscuit bites. Also available will be a Family Fish Fry offering that features eight Crispy Fish Filets, a family-size order of fries and 12 hush puppy biscuit bites.

Church, Sr., today the company operates restaurants at over 1,660 locations in 27 countries that span the globe from North and South America to the Caribbean, Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Conducting business outside of North America as Texas Chicken as well as Church’s Chicken, the chain has been under the ownership of San Francisco-based private equity firm Friedman Fleischer & Lowe since 2009.
