The Saucy Fish Co. has just secured two international listings for its new frozen range, with USA-based Meijer and Fortinos in Canada. This follows a recent announcement that the Grimsby, England-based unit of Icelandic Seachill has listed its ready-to-eat range at both Hannaford and Mariano’s stores.

Loblaws-owned Fortinos now stocks four frozen Saucy Fish products in all 23 of its stores in Ontario, Canada. The range features Atlantic Salmon with Chilli, Lime & Ginger Dressing, Herb Crusted Atlantic Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce, Smoked Haddock with Aged Cheddar & Chive Sauce, and Tilapia with Salsa Verde.

Herb Crusted Atlantic Salmon 300Family-owned Meijer will list three of Saucy’s frozen fish and sauce products, including brand new Tilapia with Korean BBQ Sauce, which has been exclusively developed for the United States market following research into flavor trends. Selected products from the frozen range will be available in 230 supermarket and hypermarket stores across the Midwestern United States in late March.

The new frozen range was designed to provide consumers with quality fish ready to serve after just half an hour of preparation. In a push to attract a new generation to the freezer aisle in the United Kingdom, Saucy Fish recently launched an extensive “Frozen Just Got Cooler” digital campaign, which has reached over 13 million people in five weeks.

Paul Macis, the company’s international business development manager, commented: “Since expanding into the freezer aisle in late 2016, the Saucy Fish frozen range is now available in 10 leading retailers, across three of our key territories. We’re on a mission to make frozen cooler, bringing convenience and inspiration to the category. The whole frozen range has been so well received, it’s great to see so many retailers getting on board.”
