It will also will be available soon in a number of retail stores owned by Ahold Delhaize, among them Food Lion, Hannaford and Stop & Shop.

The range features five new items: Lemon Pepper Shrimp, Creamy Garlic Shrimp, Alaskan Salmon Burgers, Maryland Style Crab Cakes, and Sesame Ginger Salmon.

“We know many consumers are shifting eating habits toward lighter and healthier meals – particularly at the start of the year – and they’re actively incorporating this mindset into their weekly menu planning,” said Leslie Harris Thomas, marketing manager of the St. Simons Island, Georgia-headquartered company. “Our goal is to steer those individuals toward the frozen food aisle, where they’ll find SeaPak Selections choices that can be prepared without any hassle, are quick and easy to serve and feature top-trending ingredients and flavors.”

Consumer preferences for popular seafood proteins such as shrimp, salmon and crab, as well as for low-calorie and minimally processed ingredients, were key factors in the creation of the SeaPak Selections line, explained the marketing manager. She added that the new products were formulated to appeal to people who don’t regard themselves as “cooks,” yet are looking for quick mealtime solutions.

“Our mission is to provide consumers with ways to enjoy nutritious, high-quality seafood at home, so they can spend more time relaxing with their families,” said Harris Thomas.
