SIAL Innovation Nomination for Pinguin Cauliflower ‘Rice’
Pinguin’s fresh-frozen cauliflower “rice” has been selected by a jury of independent experts as one of the most innovative products for visitors to see and sample during the October 16-20 SIAL international food exhibition in Paris, France. It was short-listed to compete in the SIAL Innovation contest, a high-profile part of the show in which the most creative products are spotlighted. The top three innovations will win prestigious Grand Prix SIAL Innovation Awards during a special ceremony that will take place on October 17 at the Paris Nord Villepinte fairgrounds.
Besides being a low-carbohydrate substitute for rice, frozen cauliflower “rice” is a versatile product that can be prepared and menued in many ways. For example, it can be used to make risotto, puree or a pizza crust. It’s a product that is in line with the healthy eating trend, yet also provides the convenience that consumers are looking for.
At SIAL, Pinguin will be exhibiting at booth 5a S 106. In addition to cauliflower “rice,” the Belgium-headquartered company’s iTQi Superior Taste Award 2016-winning products (yellow “easy” smoothie, pepper cream ready-to-serve sauce, leek with cream and chicken Thai soup) will take center stage. And, of course all of them can be tasted at the show. Visitors are welcome to stop by the Pinguin stand at any time to sample these and other products.
