San Marino, California-based Tribali Foods has added Chicken & Apple and Pork & Sage Mini Sliders to its range of frozen products. Primarily aimed at the breakfast market, yet versatile enough for any mealtime occasion, the 1.2 oz. sliders feature organic fruit and herbs blended with antibiotic-free and hormone-free pork and chicken procured from small family farms.

Created with the help of a group of Southern California foodies and their Instagram followers, Tribali founder and holistic nutritionist Angela Bicos Mavridis refined the recipes to cater to the demand for healthier breakfast meats. The new varieties add the spice and flavors of fall comfort foods, without additivies, preservatives or unnecessary sugar.

Chicken & Apple combines organic, free-range chicken with tart, tangy apples, sage, thyme and a touch of nutmeg for a lean 13 grams of protein per serving that’s low in both sodium and sugar. The sugar-free Pork & Sage offering contains 17 grams of fat, 1 gram of carbohydrates and 11 grams of protein per serving of two sliders.

After a 35-year stint as a vegetarian, she rediscovered the Paleo diet, reintroduced meat, and set out to create a convenient, wholesome meal option for consumers. Initially launched on the US West Coast with the debut of 4 oz. Mediterranean Style Beef, Umami Beef and Chipotle Chicken patties, the growing portfolio is now available throughout the nation at retailers including Super Target and Natural Grocers, as well as online.

“There’s a common misconception that eating healthy cannot be easy or affordable, and that a healthy diet doesn’t include meat or delicious flavors. We’re committed to changing that by using real, whole foods to capture meal inspirations from across the globe,” said Mavridis.

Four boxes of Tribali Mini Sliders six-packs are now available exclusively at the company’s online store for $27.96. The launch of 204-gram six-slider boxes priced at $6.99 will kick off at Walmart stores in October.
