Gardein Debuts Single Serve Bowls and Breakfast Patties

181116gardein bowls2Gardein, a plant-based frozen food brand distributed through retail stores, restaurants and school cafeterias throughout the USA and Canada, has launched a line of single serve bowls made for quick office lunches as well as for sit-down dinner occasions. The 241-gram offerings are Certified Vegan, made with 100% non-GMO ingredients and provide a good source of protein.
 
Available in four flavors, the range features the following recipes:
  • Italian Saus’age & Pasta Bowl – made with cavatappi pasta and Gardein meatless “saus’age” in a rich marinara sauce.
  • Chick’n Fajita Bowl: loaded with Gardein meatless “chick’n,” red and green bell peppers, black beans, caramelized onions and corn on a bed of rice with zesty sauce.
  • Orange Beefless Bowl – made with beefless strips, red bell peppers, cauliflower, water chestnuts, and edamame over rice with a sweet and spicy orange sauce.
  • Teriyaki Chick’n Bowl – featuring Gardein meatless “chick’n,” broccoli, red bell peppers and carrots over rice with a sweet teriyaki sauce.
Breakfast Saus’age Patties is another recent Gardein launch. Distributed in six-packs, each patty has 38 grams of plant-based protein and 75% less fat than regular pork sausage. Gardein’s easy-to-digest, cholesterol-free products are made from soy, wheat and pea proteins, vegetables and ancient grains (quinoa, amaranth, millet and kamut.
