American Flatbread Launches Meat-topped Pizza Trio
Pittsfield, New Hampshire, USA-based American Flatbread Co. has entered into a new product category with three meat-topped frozen pizzas – Pulled Pork & Pineapple, Pulled Pork, Pineapple & Jalapeno, and Uncured Pepperoni & Uncured Bacon. The products are being promoted as “a great alternative to takeout pizza that serve up delicious, restaurant-quality, last minute dinners for families on the go.”
American Flatbread pizzas feature light, crisp handmade flatbreads that are wood-fired in earthen ovens. Made with organic wheat flour and wheat bran, they contain no preservatives, artificial colors or fake flavors, and are available in 10-inch and 12-inch sizes. The 10-inch products retail from $6.99 to $7.99, while the 12-inch offerings go for between $8.99 and $11.99.
A description of each offering’s main ingredients follows:
Uncured Pepperoni & Uncured Bacon – Crispy bacon and pepperoni with white cheddar cheese and a tangy organic tomato sauce on topped upon handmade flatbread.
Pulled Pork, Pineapple & Jalapeno – Sweet pineapple, fiery jalapeno with smoky pulled pork, white cheddar cheese, barbeque sauce and organic tomato sauce on a handmade flatbread.
Pulled Pork & Pineapple – Sweet pineapple, smoky pulled pork, white cheddar and mozzarella cheese, barbeque and organic tomato sauce topped on handmade flatbread.
The new American Flatbread pizzas are now being rolled out to select retail outlets across the USA, including Whole Foods in the West and Southeast, HEB in the Southwest, and Ahold and Market Basket stores in the Northeast.
