Amy’s Kitchen Adds Barbecue Pizza to Organic Range
The United States frozen pizza market, which rang up $4.7 billion in sales during 2016, continues to grow. So too is the extensive line of Amy’s Kitchen products in the category, which now numbers 26 following the introduction of Barbecue Pizza.
Distributed in 403-gram packs, Amy’s Barbecue Pizza boasts BBQ sauce featuring organic, vine-ripe tomatoes flavored with organic molasses and spices. It is hand-topped with organic red onions, spinach, barbecue-marinated tofu and Monterey Jack cheese.
Amy’s extensive offerings of frozen pizza include gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan options. The range of toppings runs the gamut from Meatless Italian Sausage, Mushrooms and Olives to classic Margherita.
Amy’s Kitchen has been in the forefront of organic food commerce in the USA since its founding by Andy and Rachel Berliner in 1987. After 30 years of developing the market, it remains a privately held, family-owned business. The company sells over 250 varieties of frozen and packaged foods, available in more than 25 other countries. It employs over 1,800 people and operates production plants in California, Oregon, Idaho and New York.
