For 5 Days, Europe’s Biggest Ice Cream Parlor is in Köln

Scoop it, dish it, stick it, lick it – most everybody loves it. From Italian Gelato and Tokyo Sundaes to Mars bars and Paraiso impulse items, frozen confectionery of all flavors will be available to savor at Anuga.

Pozza di Maranello, Italy-based Casa del Gelato will be serving samples of Chocolate and White Plain Cream Gelato in a glasses from Stand B-080 in Hall 4.1 at the fairgrounds in Köln, Germany. The sweet treat is distributed to retailers in 2 x 110g – 2 x 215ml units coupled in blister packs under the producer’s brand name or as private labels. Other flavors in the range include strawberry, amarena cherry, panna cotta and tiramisu.

ingranditaThe company, founded by Angelo Giovanardi in 1979, has specialized in homemade gelato from the beginning. Today the second-generation business, run by sons Corrado and Andrea, distributes a wide line of products to bars, restaurants and catering companies as well as supermarkets and other retail shops. Approximately 70% of total output is exported to countries near and far including France, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Israel, Australia, Austria, China and the USA.

Giolito Eiscreme

Hamburg, Germany-headquartered Hamburger Feinfrost GmbH, best known for selling frozen seafood, will also offering Giolito Eiscreme and Sorbet along with fishery products at Stand A-071 in Hall 4.2. Its four new flavors, all free of preservatives and artificial coloring, are: Menta Cioccolato, milk ice cream with chocolate and mint; Ribes Rosso Sorbetto, a red currant sorbet; Torrone, milk ice cream with torrone/white nougat with hazelnut; and Lemon e Basilico, featuring lemon sorbet with basil.

The milk varieties are made from fresh raw milk pasteurized in the factory, while the lactose-free sorbets boast fruit content of up to 65 percent. Distribution is in handy 500ml beakers as well as in 2.5 liter units.

Rudolph’s Tokyo Sundae

rudolphs tokyo sundaeRoerink Food Family (RFF) of Hengelo, Holland, will be exhibiting at the Anuga fair for the first time. Visitors to Stands C061 and D068 in Hall 10.1 from October 7-11 will already on Saturday be able to enjoy a taste of Rudolph’s Tokyo Sundae. And for that matter, while supplies last the Sundae may be sampled on Sunday through Wednesday as well.

Created by Rudolph van Veen, a certified master pastry chef, Tokyo Sundae features green matcha tea cream that combines exceptionally well with lychee and orange. Promoted as an ideal dessert to enjoy after eating sushi, the 155ml size is now available at retail stores in Holland for EUR 1.79.

Other ice cream products from Chef Rudolph available at the stand will include White Wedding, New York Chocolate, Dessert Circus, Ebony & Ivory and Rainforest Chocolate. All varieties are available in both single (155ml) as family size (600ml) units.

In addition to ice cream, RFF produces a number of dairy products including yoghurt, cream dips and cheese under the Twekkelo, Miss Magic, Happy Goat and De Dessert Meesters brand names.
