Tim’s Low-Cal Frozen Yogurt Targets Ice Cream Consumers
Germany’s Fresh Five Premiumfood has added an additional flavor, Raspberry, to its Tim’s Frozen Yogurt line, which was declared the Best New Product 2013 at the Biofach environmental fair in Nurenberg.
The -based firm, which mainly deals in the foodservice market, is pushing this new consumer product as a low calorie-alternative to ice cream. It uses organically-grown raspberries and has 80% less fat and 50% fewer calories than traditional ice cream. The new Tim’s product, distributed in a 500 ml tub, joins two others, Natural and Mango Passion Fruit, and is suggested for retail at 4.99 euros.
