Kara, the Finsbury Food Group brand supplying frozen bakery products to the foodservice industry in the United Kingdom and continental Europe, has introduced a new Indulgent Cake Collection. The Whitefield, Manchester, UK-headquartered company has worked with Cardiffe-based Memory Lane Cakes, one of Britain’s most respected sweet goods suppliers, serving multiple retailers.
Among offerings in the line are Chai Latte and Perfect Pink Velvet Cake, Luxury Nutty Coffee Cake, Carrot Bliss, Rocky Road Temptation, Apple & Blackberry Crumble and Thorntons Celebration Cake.
Kara has continued to keep innovation at the heart of the business, having recently expanded its baked goods offerings by adding six artisanal breads to the portfolio. The new range contains three sourdoughs, a hand-crafted tiger bread, and two Vogel seed loaves.
Chris Haddy, the company’s foodservice commercial controller, commented: “The Indulgent Cake Collection is a truly unique range designed to delight all taste buds. Our products taste great and look amazing. They offer a variety of tempting flavor combinations which are on-trend and at the same time original.”
The cakes are pre-portioned and frozen straight after production, thus requiring minimum preparation by end-users. They are produced with consistent quality, size and appearance.
The Kara brand, synonymous with the floured bap for more than three decades, today offers customers a wide variety of products including hot dog rolls, burger buns, french bread, doughballs, muffins, teacakes, scones, pastries and doughnuts.
Customers include wholesalers, independents and end-users such as pubs, hotels and restaurant chains. Distribution is to more than 300 wholesalers and end-users based in the UK, with exports going to clients in France, Denmark, Portugal, Spain, Cyprus and other countries.
