Regal Springs, the world’s largest producer of premium tilapia, is supporting hunger relief efforts at this year’s annual Seafood Expo North America, which runs from March 6-8 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Inspired by today’s fast casual restaurant concepts, the Miramar, Florida-based company has stocked a fish taco bar at Booth 621 where grilled tilapia, warm flour tortillas, a variety of fresh salsas and toppings are being served. For every fish taco sampled by visitors to its stand, five pounds of tilapia will be donated to SeaShare, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting hunger relief efforts in the United States. Regal Springs has donated more than 35,000 pounds of tilapia to SeaShare since December of 2015.

Founded in 1988 by Swiss entrepreneur Rudi Lamprecht , Regal Springs is said to be the biggest vertically integrated aquaculture company in the world. It raises tilapia in floating cages in large fresh water reservoirs in Mexico, Honduras and Indonesia.
