Bonamar Establishes West Coast Base with IPS Acquisition

Miami, Florida-headquartered Bonamar Corporation, a seafood distributor serving retail, wholesale and foodservice clients across the USA, has purchased Brea, California-based International Pacific Seafoods (IPS). Terms of the transaction, which includes a 20,000-square-foot processing plant and freezer facilities, were not disclosed.

Intl Pacific Seafoods logoIn business for almost 43 years, IPS imports and processes a wide variety of frozen seafood ranging from ahi tuna and mahi-mahi to wahoo/ono, salmon, swordfish, halibut, albacore, cod, pollock and calamari. It specializes in supplying chef-ready portions, steaks and loins to the foodservice sector.

Bonamar is engaged in importing and distributing premium crabmeat and finfish, as well as offering value-added products such as Bo Jackson Signature 34 Sideliners. The appetizer and entrée line includes salmon, shrimp and ahi tuna burgers.
