“We see a lot potential in adding Anova’s portfolio to our current business, as it will strengthen our position in sourcing, processing and sales of seafood products,” said Jan Kaptijn, chief executive officer of Seafood Connection.

Following Anova’s pending departure from the frozen sector, the company plans to further specialize in the sales of fresh and chilled seafood packed at its facilities in the Netherlands.

“We aim to strengthen and expand our position in those segments, and therefore have redirected our strategic focus in the direction of fresh and chilled products,” said Constant Mulder, co-owner of Anova Seafood.
