Aldi Recalls Season’s Choice Frozen Sweet Peas in USA

The Batavia, Illinois-headquartered Aldi retail grocery chain in the United States has voluntarily recalled frozen Season’s Choice Sweet Peas. It immediately removed 16-ounce bags of the product from stores after being notified of possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination by the private label packer, Lakeside Foods Inc. of Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

The sweet peas in question have been distributed in Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia. Bearing UPC code 041498164294 and a best-by date of August 2018, they can be identified by one of the following packaging codes:

  • DC17038PLAB6176,
  • DC27038PLAB6176,
  • DC27038BNAF7286,
  • DC37038BNAF7286,
  • DC47038PLAC6216,
  • DC57038PLAC6216.
