Chicago, Illinois-headquartered Conagra Brands has finalized the purchase of Sandwich Bros. of Wisconsin, a producer of frozen breakfast and entrée flatbread pocket sandwiches founded in 1979 by John and George Kashou. The agreement to buy the business was initially announced on December 21, 2017.
Sandwich Bros. flatbread pocket sandwiches are filled with proteins including 100% Angus beef, chicken raised without antibiotics, all-natural sausage and real Wisconsin cheese.
Posting rapid growth results in recent years, the family-owned operation generated approximately $60 million in net sales for the 12 months ending in November of 2017. Product distribution is nationwide to grocery, club and convenience stores and mass merchandisers, in addition to customers in the foodservice, military and private label sectors.
