Interpack 2017 Advisory Board Re-elected in Düsseldorf

Friedbert Klefenz, president of the packaging technology division of Robert Bosch GmbH, was unanimously re-elected as president of Interpack at the trade show organizer’s recent advisory council meeting. The fair, held every three years, will take place May 4-10, 2017, at the Düsseldorf fairgrounds in Germany.

KG, and Bernhard Borgardt, managing director of Ostedruck Bernhard-J. Borgardt GmbH & Co. KG. Borgardt is also a member of the European Plastics Converters (EuPC association) steering committee, a past president of the German Plastics Packaging Association (IK), and a board member of the Central Federation of the Plastics Processing Industries in Germany (GKV).

“The constructive collaboration with the Advisory Council is a key element for a successful Interpack. Close interaction with the leading companies in the industry is an essential prerequisite for precisely aligning the range of products and services offered to the needs of our exhibitors and visitors,” stated Werner Matthias Dornscheidt, president and ceo of Messe Düsseldorf, the organizer of the fair.

The “Save Food” theme will again be in high profile at the show. In addition to a congress addressing ways to reduce waste, a special exhibition dedicated to the initiative will be featured.

Additionally, for the second time a special show within a show dedicated to components for processing and packaging will be staged at Interpack. The event for suppliers to the packaging technology sector will be held in Hall 18 during each day of Interpack 2017.
