Having started his career in Florigo’s engineering department, he previously held positions as sales manager at food machinery makers including potato processing specialist Kiremko and bakery and confectionery equipment manufacturer Haas-Mondomix.

“The processing side of our business has grown exponentially over the last few years,” said Peter Oussoren, tna’s chief sales officer. “There is particularly high demand for our innovative frying technology as manufacturers are starting to see the long-term benefits this type of equipment can have on their overall profitability levels. With his technical expertise, engineering skills and customer service experience, Carel will be instrumental in finding the right solutions for our customers’ needs. Whether they’re looking for ultra-high capacity batch-fryers, steam peeling technology or the most innovative vacuum frying equipment, his knowledge and passion for the industry will provide immense value.”

Commenting on his appointment, Phaff commented: “I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to help tna further grow its processing portfolio. Increasing output and reducing the number of rejects are vital for any manufacturer and even more so for those that work with expensive raw materials like oil and ingredients that are exposed to regular price fluctuations such as potatoes and other vegetables. The integrated processing solutions offered by tna help manufacturers mitigate the effects of these challenges.”
