The Malmö, Sweden-headquartered OctoFrost Group has acquired Innotec Systems BV, a Werkendam, Netherlands-based manufacturer of customized industrial food processing machinery and lines for blanching, cooking and steaming potatoes, vegetables, fruit, shrimp and other food products.

OctoFrost logoOctoFrost, which specializes in designing and building industrial freezer tunnels and has installed such systems in more than 50 countries, is now able to offer complete IQF processing lines to its client base and new prospects around the world.

“Taking over Innotec was our natural response to the needs of the market,” said Ruben Larsson, founder of OctoFrost. “This brings a number of advantages for food processors, and the most significant one is that from now on there will be no further discussions as to whom has full responsibility for operation of the complete line. It is us!”

OctoFrost CEO Rasmus Larsson added: “We can now optimize the entire line for the best final result, highest yield and lowest energy consumption to bring the highest value to our customers. Our after sales activities will also benefit from the scale-up in the organization, and we can be closer to our customers.”

OctoFrost Group and Innotec Systems share a long history together, as they have jointly installed multiple processing lines around the globe. Both have many years of experience designing and improving innovative equipment for the demanding food processing sector.
