Fred Boehler Now CEO as Well as President of Americold

Atlanta, Georgia, USA-headquartered Americold, the world’s largest operator of refrigerated warehouses and supplier of logistics services, has promoted Fred Boehler, formerly the company’s president and chief operating officer, to the position of president and chief executive officer. He has also taken a seat on the board of trustees.

The appointment is in recognition of Boehler’s achievements in improving the business during his first three years at Americold, while also ensuring the continuity of the company’s strategies for growing the business and developing innovative, customer-centric temperature-controlled supply chain solutions.

Prior to joining Americold in March of 2014, Boehler was senior vice president of supply chain with SUPERVALU, Inc., a leading grocery retailer and wholesaler supplying more than 4,300 stores in the United States. Before that he was senior vice president of logistics and purchasing at Borders Group, Inc.
