Fort Wayne, Indiana-based refrigerated warehouse builder Tippmann Innovation (TI) joined members of the Dick Cold Storage team on July 27 to break ground on a new project in Columbus, Ohio. Upon completion later this year, the 115,000-square-foot facility will feature 15,000 pallet positions offering both conventional racking and high-density pallet storage at temperatures as low as -20°F.

The new warehouse will help meet the need for increased frozen and refrigerated storage in the Columbus area, where regional coldstores are often filled to maximum capacity. Its 50-foot ceiling design makes for greater cubic footage storage capacity in a smaller square footage footprint.

Offering approximately 6,000,000 cubic feet of space, its network is positioned within a 550-miles radius of more than half the United States population.

“Tippmann Innovation’s experience and reputation in cold storage building is well known and well respected,” said CEO Don Dick. “We’re confident that our new facility will be at the cutting edge of cold storage innovation.”
