IRTA Elects New Chairman, Other Officers and Directors

New officers and directors of the International Refrigerated Transportation Association (IRTA) were announced during a board of directors meeting which took place during the Global Cold Chain Expo in Chicago, Illinois.

robert fayChairman Robert FayElected chairman for the 2017-18 year was Robert Fay, president of Florida Freezer, Fort Myers, Florida. The new vice chairman is Debbie McDowell, director of business development and customer service at Jacksonville, Florida-based Seaonus. Elected treasurer was Todd Lanter, director of transportation at Henningsen Transportation Services, Scranton, Pennsylvania.

“The work accomplished by the IRTA board in the past few years has been remarkable,” Fay said. “With the release of the new Refrigerated Transportation Best Practices Guide, it has put IRTA and its members at the leading edge of convening key stakeholders and creating tangible resources that address regulations, and will make our industry stronger.” 

New board members tapped to three-year terms include: Scott McIntosh, senior vice president and general manager, VersaCold – North America Transportation Solutions, Surrey, British Columbia, Canada; Richard Patenaude, director of logistics, Congebec Logistics, Inc., Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; Ned Runser, operations manager, Hall’s Warehouse Corp., South Plainfield, New Jersey, USA; Brian Webb, senior vice president, business development, JB Hunt, Lowell, Arizona, USA; and Brandon Woods, vice president, Refrigerated Transport, Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, USA.

Reelected to three-year terms of office, all from the United States, are: Greg Bryan, senior vice president, transportation, Lineage Logistics, Irvine, California; Barbara Pratt, director, Maersk Line, Florham Park, New Jersey; Chris Mnichowski, president, CTI Freight Systems, Bucyrus, Kansas; Keith Mowery, vice president, transportation and logistics, United States Cold Storage, Inc., Voorhees, New Jersey; and Eric Olafson, associate director for global trade, Port Miami, Florida.

Established in 1994, the Alexandria, Virginia, USA-headquartered International Refrigerated Transportation Association is a nonprofit organization serving the refrigerated transportation industry. It is a core partner of the Global Cold Chain Alliance, which represents all major industries engaged in temperature-controlled logistics.
