Hillsboro, Oregon, USA-headquartered Henningsen Cold Storage Co. has announced that Paul G. Henningsen, Jr. will become president on May 1. Ranked among the nation’s largest public refrigerated warehousing operators with 12 facilities in six states providing 65 million cubic feet of temperature controlled storage space, the fifth-generation family owned corporation was founded in 1923.

Paul HenningsenPaul G. Henningsen, Jr.Paul Henningsen has served the company since 1987, initially in the engineering department with responsibility for the development, design, construction and management of all capital projects. This included more than 20 expansions, improvements and new facility projects. In 2014, he was appointed to the position of chief operating officer, a logical step to prepare him for his new role as president.

“Paul’s company and industry experience, along with his familiarity with Henningsen’s renowned company culture, positioned him as the right person to lead the organization through its next growth phase,” said Chairman Gary Eichman.

The new president succeeds his cousin, Mike Henningsen, who will retire on May 31.

“It has been a pleasure serving alongside Paul, and the entire Henningsen team, over the past 30 years. I look forward to remaining on the board of directors, working closely with Paul, and assuring his time as president is as successful and rewarding as was mine,” said the outgoing president.
