Partner Logistics Working with Dawn Foods in Britain

Bergen op Zoom, Holland-headquartered Partner Logistics has inked a two-year contract with baked goods manufacturer Dawn Foods Ltd. to manage storage of frozen products at its refrigerated warehouse in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, England.

partner-logisticsPartner Logistics, which has provided services for Dawn Foods at its flagship cold storage complex in the Netherlands since 2004, will be teaming up with refrigerated transport specialist Visbeen to provide distribution of Dawn Foods product to UK customers ranging from fast food restaurants and coffee shops to travel catering companies, other foodservice operators and retailers.

Dawn Foods Products-IconDawn Foods is a unit of Jackson, Michigan, USA-headquartered Dawn Food Products Ltd., a multinational company established in 1920. With eight manufacturing and production facilities across Europe, its European operation is based in Steenbergen, Holland, and Evesham, Worcestershire, UK.

The cold storage company will be storing an average of 2,000 pallets of Dawn Foods product in Wisbech, and dispatching 500 pallets per week to end-users including retailers and bakers as well as foodservice operators. Its assortment of baked goods runs the gamut from frozen muffins, donuts and cookies to brownies, cupcakes, cheesecakes and more.

Partner Logistics-Dawn truck-Partner Logistics provides highly automated and sustainable warehouse solutions tailored to meet the needs of clients. Its Bergen op Zoom site, which has storage capacity for 157,000 pallets, on average stores 3,000 pallets of Dawn Foods product and ships over 700 truckloads for the company per week. That adds up to more than 1,450,000 cases of product moved each year.
