Empire Kosher Poultry Celebrates ’80 Years of Trust’

Empire Kosher Poultry kicked off its “80 Years of Trust” anniversary celebration at Kosherfest, the world's largest and most attended kosher-certified food products trade show, which took place November 14-15 in Secaucus, New Jersey.

Founded in 1938 in Liberty, New York, Empire Kosher is the largest producer of kosher-certified fresh and frozen poultry in the United States, as well as a major supplier of other frozen products, deli items, soups and broths sold in both kosher and secular markets.

"Consumers have known and trusted Empire Kosher for 80 years," said Jeffrey N. Brown, president of Hain Pure Protein Corporation, a subsidiary of The Hain Celestial Group, Inc., which owns the Empire Kosher brand. "Empire's award-winning taste and commitment to quality for eight decades has made the brand a family tradition for generations and is exemplified by our natural and organic products. We never administer antibiotics, or growth hormones and steroids. We humanely raise our flocks on family farms before they are harvested under the strictest standards and requirements for kosher certification."

The company relocated to Mifflintown, Pennsylvania in the 1960s, where its headquarters, hatchery and processing facility are located today.

"Our organic flocks are free range and fed non-GMO certified organic grains, and consumers can trust that every Empire product meets our highest standards for both kosher and natural at the same time," assured Brown.

Kosherfest visitors were invited to see and sample new products including pre-sliced Natural Southwest Style and Peppered Turkey Deli Meats.
