Make First List by Registering Early for NFRA Convention

While the 2016 National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention doesn’t take place until October in Washington, DC, it’s recommended that attendees register by June 10. This will assure that their name and contact information is included in the first registration list, which is provided to all delegates to assist in scheduling business meetings prior to the event. To sign up for this year’s convention, call +1 717 657-8601 or visit www.NFRAConvention.org.

Hosted by the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-based National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA), the annual gathering is designed to bring together leading companies from every segment of the industry in one venue so that attendees are able to efficiently network and conduct business in terms of time and travel. NFRA provides its retailer members with complimentary meeting rooms so they may have face-to-face sessions with suppliers. Last year’s event brought together over 1,200 attendees.

From beginning to end, the convention is structured to help attendees make valuable connections. It kicks off with the Taste of Excellence Reception on Sunday, October 23, where frozen and refrigerated food manufacturers showcase their latest offerings. This engaging opening event allows attendees the opportunity to interact with industry colleagues while sampling new frozen and refrigerated food products.

This year’s agenda will feature a nationally known political strategist and commentator as the breakfast speaker on October 24. The membership luncheon that day will include NFRA’s annual business meeting, as well as a ceremony to honor 2016 Refrigerated Food Hall of Fame inductees. A networking reception in evening will recognize the 2016 Golden Penguin winners for the March Frozen Food Month, June Dairy Month and June/July Ice Cream & Novelties promotions.

During the breakfast session on October 25 political media consultant Alex Castellanos and political columnist Eugene Robinson will square off in discussing November’s elections. NFRA’s incoming chairman, Joy Sgro of C&S Wholesale Grocers, will host Tuesday’s industry luncheon.
