AFFI Hires Daniel Rhea to Bolster Communications Team

Alison Bodor, chief executive officer of the American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI), has announced the addition of Daniel Rhea as the McLean, Virginia-headquartered trade association’s director of communications.

“His skills and experience will bring new energy and perspective to AFFI’s advocacy efforts to help consumers and policy makers alike have a better appreciation for the important role the frozen food and beverage industry plays in providing millions of Americans with convenient access to nutritious, safe and affordable food,” said Bodor.

daniel rheaRhea will join AFFI on August 22, having most recently served as communications director for Representative Joe Barton (Republican of Texas), and finance and media director for the Congressman Joe Barton Committee. A graduate of Texas A&M University with a Master of Public Policy degree from George Mason University, he previously served as Barton’s press assistant and held positions at LVH Consulting and Estrella Freight Service.

Rhea will report to Adrienne Seiling, AFFI’s vice president of communications, and will have responsibility for administering the Institute’s communications and digital advocacy programs to educate key influencers about the companies, products and people that comprise the frozen food and beverage community.

AFFI advocates on behalf of all segments of the frozen food industry and its more than 500 members that make, distribute and market products valued at $53 billion annually.
