Yogurtland, the Farmers Branch, Texas-headquartered self-serve frozen yogurt chain operating at more than 220 locations across the USA and internationally, has introduced two limited-time flavors that complement the winter season: Holiday Baking Championship Peppermint Brownie Bliss and Cookie Butter Made with Biscoff Cookies. Available through December 31, they bring a festive touch to the season.

The Holiday Baking Championship Peppermint Brownie Bliss is inspired by the Food Network’s Holiday Baking Championship, as Yogurtland’s rich brownie flavor meets cool peppermint to serve up a sweet holiday treat.

The creamy Cookie Butter Made with Biscoff Cookie flavor blends warm cinnamon spice with brown sugar notes.

“Winter is the perfect time to indulge in something joyful, and our exclusive new frozen yogurts are a delicious twist on beloved flavors reminiscent of this time of year,” said Sam Kwon, head of project services and e-commerce at Yogurtland. “Whether trying something new or pairing these seasonal offerings with their go-to favorites, we look forward to helping guests make every visit a little more special this holiday season.”

The latest products are joined by two toppings: Holiday Baking Buddies, Yogurtland’s take on the classic gingerbread man, and Biscoff Cookies.

It’s a real deal, as Hudsonville Ice Cream’s refreshed Super Premium Pint Collection brings together six flavors made with real premium ice cream, rich swirls and generous mix-ins. The offerings include:

Cake Batter — Cake batter-flavored ice cream with pound cake pieces and chocolate frosting.

Caramel Coffee Chip — Coffee ice cream with chocolate flakes and a dulce de leche caramel swirl.

Cookie Overload — Vanilla ice cream with chocolate chip cookie dough pieces and a chocolate cookie crumb swirl.

Mint Cookie Dough — Mint ice cream with cookies-and-cream cookie dough and a chocolate cookie crumb swirl.

Raspberry Chocolate Chunk — Black raspberry ice cream with chocolate fudge pieces and a fudge swirl.

Salted Caramel Brownie — Brown sugar-flavored ice cream with brownie pieces and a salted caramel swirl.

“Real premium ice cream isn’t a new idea for us,” said Taylor Janisse, a product developer at the Holland, Michigan-based family owned and operated company. “For 100 years, we’ve focused on using real, locally sourced milk and cream, quality ingredients and no shortcuts. What’s changing is that consumers are asking more questions about what goes into their food. We’ve been answering that question with the ice cream we make every day, and we are continuing to explore ways to evolve our classic recipes to meet the needs of what people want when they are choosing ice cream.”

Consumers are increasingly looking at labels, with nearly half (47%) of Americans claiming they always or often are checking nutrition details and ingredients while shopping (according to the International Food Information Council’s June 2026 Spotlight Survey. In the freezer aisle, this means they are noticing a simple truth: Not everything in the ice cream aisle is actually ice cream.

To meet the legal definition of real ice cream set by the US Food and Drug Administration, ice cream must contain at least 10% milkfat and weigh at least 4.5 pounds per gallon, among other requirements. Hudsonville’s Super Premium Pints go a step further, with 13% to 15% milkfat for an even richer, creamier texture.

Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwiches has launched S’mores, a limited-edition flavor created in partnership with the National Park Foundation in the United States. Available exclusively at select Target stores, the new flavor “celebrates the simple joy of gathering around a campfire and making memories outdoors,” proclaims a press release issued by the Richmond, Virginia-based company. Sales from this officially licensed collaboration will support the Foundation’s mission to protect national parks.

S’mores features honey graham cookies sandwiching rich chocolate toasted marshmallow ice cream swirled with ribbons of marshmallow fluff. The flavor captures the nostalgic taste of a toasted campfire s’more while delivering the elevated ingredients and handcrafted quality that have become synonymous with the Nightingale brand.

For Nightingale CEO and Co-Founder Hannah Pollack, the collaboration is deeply personal. Growing up, some of her favorite memories were made outdoors, and today she remains an avid adventurer with a personal goal of visiting every national park in the United States over the next five years.

“There’s something magical about gathering around a campfire at the end of a day spent outdoors,” she said. “Whether you’re watching the sunset over a mountain range, sharing stories with friends, or making s’mores with your family, those moments stay with you forever. We wanted to create a flavor that captures that sense of wonder, adventure, and nostalgia in every bite.”

The launch reflects Nightingale’s continued commitment to transforming familiar childhood desserts into frozen novelties crafted with premium ingredients. Since its founding in 2016, the company has built a devoted following by combining scratch-baked cookies, 14% butterfat ice cream, and handcrafted inclusions inspired by classic American desserts.

United Dairy Farmers (UDF), the family-owned ice cream maker and regional convenience store and ice cream parlor chain, and Grippo Foods, the Cincinnati, Ohio-based snack food company, have teamed up to launch Fun Food Crunch, a limited-time Homemade Brand ice cream flavor inspired by Grippo’s snacking heritage as the original “Fun Food Company.”

Developed to celebrate the playful spirit and bold flavors that have made both brands household names in the Cincinnati market for generations, Fun Food Crunch features a buttered popcorn flavored ice cream mixed with a Bar-B-Q spice infused caramel swirl and chocolatey, crunchy pretzel pieces for a sweet-and-salty treat.

“For more than eight decades, United Dairy Farmers and Grippo Foods have been part of what makes Cincinnati taste like home,” said Michael Ahmed, UDF’s chief executive officer. “This collaboration brings together two hometown brands that share a commitment to quality, family values and creating products people love. Fun Food Crunch captures the spirit of both companies in a way that’s nostalgic, playful and uniquely Cincinnati.”

For Grippo’s, the partnership presented an opportunity to bring one of its signature flavors into an entirely new category while celebrating the company’s roots.

“Grippo’s has always believed food should be fun, and that’s exactly what this collaboration is all about,” said John Dourson, vice president of sales. “Partnering with another family-owned Cincinnati institution like UDF and Homemade Brand allowed us to create something unexpected that honors our history while giving fans of both brands a new way to enjoy flavors they already know and love.”

Hitting stores during the week of August 16, Homemade Brand Fun Food Crunch will be available for a limited time in an exclusive co-branded 16-ounce pint at Cincinnati-area Kroger stores and all 170-plus UDF retail locations, while supplies last.

GlacierPoint Enterprises, a Bronx, New York-headquartered portfolio company of Mill Point Capital and one of North America’s leading full-service direct store delivery (DSD) distributors of ice cream and other frozen products, has acquired Arctica Frozen Solutions, a DSD distributor of ice cream, novelties and frozen products covering Central and South Florida. The transaction marks GlacierPoint’s first strategic acquisition in Florida and establishes the platform’s presence in one of the most compelling frozen distribution markets in the United States.

Based in Miami, Arctica serves more than 4,600 delivery points across major convenience, drug and grocery store customers with products from premier manufacturers including The Magnum Ice Cream Company, Froneri and Mars. GlacierPoint’s eighth acquisition since inception in 2021, Arctica extends its network into a market whose near-year-round warm climate drives significant demand for single-serve and novelty formats — a category GlacierPoint covers extensively across its entire operating footprint, which now spans more than 273,000 square miles.

“Arctica is the ideal entry point into Florida, one of the largest frozen markets in the country and a natural next step in our continuing expansion strategy for the US Eastern Seaboard and beyond,” said CEO and Executive Chairman Jim Schubauer. “Combining that platform with GlacierPoint’s scale, vendor partnerships and operational expertise gives us a strong foundation to grow throughout all of Florida’s key markets.”

Todd Michaels, founder and president of Arctica, stated: “I have great confidence in Jim’s vision to continue the expansion and elevation of Arctica’s profile. I am so proud of what my team has accomplished and I could not be happier with their new role as an integral part of GlacierPoint’s growth engine.”

“Arctica reflects clear execution of the disciplined M&A strategy at the core of our Value Creation Plan for GlacierPoint,” added Sebastian Bustamante of Mill Point Capital. “Florida is a high-growth, strategically significant market and Arctica gives GlacierPoint an anchor position from which to expand throughout the state while continuing to strengthen our relationships with The Magnum Ice Cream Company, Froneri and other key partners. Under Jim’s leadership, GlacierPoint has proven exceptional at pairing a methodical acquisition approach with strong organic growth.”

The Snickers Ice Cream marketing team has launched a nationwide search in the United States for its first-ever “Chief Online Chill Officer,” a paid two-week mini-gig designed to help bring more chill and humor to the internet.

Specifically, the Mars brand is looking someone with sharp social instincts, a knack for keeping their cool, confidence in front of the camera, and of course, a deep appreciation of ice cream. The person hired will be tasked with spotting the internet’s most heated moments – from sports debates to dramatic story-time rants – and help chill down the drama by surprising fans with humorously witty responses and free Snickers Ice Cream coupons.

The “Chief Online Chill Officer” title comes with plenty of opportunities to sample the brand’s five Minis flavors (Original, Crunchy Peanut Butter, Almond, Salted Caramel and Snickers x M&M’s) featuring creamy ice cream, smooth caramel, crunchy peanuts and a chocolatey shell. The chief will create social content and vlogs, capture behind-the-scenes moments, and give followers an inside look at the chillest experience of the summer.

“If you’ve spent more than five minutes on social media lately, you’ve probably realized the internet has absolutely no chill,” said Chanel Gant, Mars Ice Cream’s senior marketing director. “Snickers Ice Cream Minis are all about delivering satisfaction in perfectly snackable bites, so we wanted to extend that same spirit online. We’re looking for someone that is quick with a comeback, comfortable on camera and ready to show that they have what it takes to help people chill this summer.”

The hybrid gig, based in the Chicago area, will run for just nine business days – from August 24 through September 3. The selected “Chief Online Chill Officer” will be compensated, earn an unofficial C-sweet-level title and the ultimate bragging rights for landing the chillest of the summer job from Snickers Ice Cream.

Candidates may apply for the position by submitting an application along with a short video explaining why they’re the perfect person to bring more chill to the internet. Complete details, eligibility requirements and official rules are available at SNICKERS.com/ChiefOnlineChillOfficer.

Ice cream and frozen novelties have earned a resilient place in consumers’ routines by delivering something shoppers increasingly value: affordable enjoyment with little planning required.

New consumer research from the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-headquartered National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) finds that nearly three-quarters of adults in the United States say keeping frozen treats at home feels more affordable than going out for dessert, while a similar share view them as an easy dessert option that requires little planning. The research also highlights a category evolving beyond traditional indulgence as shoppers balance value, convenience, portion preferences and nutrition considerations.

“This research shows that frozen treats are not simply a once-in-a-while splurge,” said Tricia Greyshock, NFRA’s president and chief executive officer. “They have earned a place in the everyday rhythm of the household because they deliver affordable enjoyment, convenience and emotional reward. The growth opportunity is to make an increasingly diverse category easier to find, understand and shop – without losing the taste and enjoyment that brings consumers to the aisle.”

Frozen Treat Purchases Extend Beyond Summer Impulse

Hot weather and summer cravings remain the most common purchase trigger, cited by 43% of consumers. But the other leading triggers demonstrate how deeply frozen treats are connected to routine household needs:

• 35% purchase them when they want an easy at-home dessert.
• 31% are motivated by a sale, coupon or digital deal.
• 29% purchase because someone in the household requests them.
• 25% are restocking a favorite.
• 23% are prompted by seeing a product in the aisle or a freezer display.

Summer may accelerate demand, but it does not create the habit. Frozen treats are also purchased as planned desserts, familiar household favorites, personal rewards and convenient snacks.

For retailers and manufacturers, that creates opportunities to support both immediate and planned purchases. Freezer displays, strong package appeal and promotional offers can convert shoppers in the moment, while consistent availability, recognizable branding and clear product positioning can encourage repeat purchase and household restocking.

Value Is About Experience, Not Just Price
Affordability remains central to the category’s appeal, but the research indicates that shoppers are not defining value by quantity alone. Seven in 10 adults say they would rather have a smaller portion of a frozen treat they truly enjoy than a larger portion of something they like less. Another 67% are more likely to keep frozen treats at home when they come in formats that are easy to serve or share.

Together, the findings indicate that premium and portion-controlled products can still compete when their value is clear and the eating experience feels worth the purchase.

Seasonal Flavors and New Formats Create Trial Opportunities
Consumers show the greatest interest in frozen treat ideas that lead with flavor, seasonality, and format. Seasonal flavors (64%), new novelty formats (63%), mini and snack-sized treats (60%), fruit-based products (59%), and trend-inspired offerings (59%) all generated strong interest. High-protein frozen treats also attracted interest from nearly half (49%) of consumers.

The findings suggest consumers are not moving toward a single frozen treat format. Instead, they are building a mix of traditional favorites, portion-controlled products, fruit-based offerings, and functional options to fit different occasions and preferences.

Visibility and Clearer Comparison Can Help Convert Interest
As the category expands, shoppers want more help navigating their choices. Two-thirds of consumers say nutrition information should be easy to compare across frozen treat options, while 63% say flavor, price, nutrition information and dietary claims should be easy to see and compare when shopping online. Familiarity also helps shoppers approach innovation. Sixty-five percent say a familiar brand makes them more willing to try a frozen treat with a new benefit.

Retail merchandising can provide another important bridge between interest and purchase:

• 64% say they are more likely to notice new frozen treats when the products are highlighted in the freezer aisle.
• 64% are more likely to stock up when a promotion includes treats their household can enjoy.
• 62% say promotions make them more willing to try a premium or better-for-you option.
• 58% say shelf tags or aisle signage would help them find frozen treat options faster.

The findings suggest that clear package information, aisle visibility and relevant promotions help shoppers navigate an increasingly diverse frozen treat set with greater confidence.

High-Protein Treats Illustrate the Opportunity – and the Challenge
High-protein frozen treats demonstrate how emerging segments can meet both emotional and practical needs. Regular purchasers of high-protein frozen treats are twice as likely as consumers overall to say dietary or nutrition needs prompt a purchase – 27% compared with 14%. They are also more likely to purchase for guests or gatherings and to restock a favorite, suggesting these products can extend beyond strictly functional occasions.

However, price and taste skepticism remain the leading barriers to the segment, cited by 33% and 29% of adults, respectively. Visibility presents another challenge. Among consumers who are unaware of high-protein frozen treats, 35% say they have not seen the products where they shop, compared with 22% of adults overall. The opportunity extends beyond protein claims alone. Taste, value, and visibility remain critical to driving trial and repeat purchase.

Turning Category Strength Into Continued Growth

The research reinforces that frozen treats continue to succeed because they satisfy emotional and practical needs at the same time. They provide an affordable reward, an easy dessert, a satisfying snack and a familiar product households want to keep on hand.

Continued growth will depend on preserving the category’s core strengths while addressing evolving shopper needs around convenience, value, portion preferences, nutrition, and discovery. Brands and retailers that make frozen treats easy to find, easy to understand, and consistently worth bringing home will be best positioned to win.

Survey Methodology
This poll was conducted by Morning Consult from June 24-26, 2026, among a sample of 2,000 adults in the United States. Interviews were conducted online, and the data were weighted to approximate a target sample of adults based on gender, age, race, educational attainment, region, gender by age, and race by educational attainment. Results from the full survey have a margin of error of plus or minus two percentage points.
