The smaller version of the original Affinity Dicer excels at processing cold temperature products as well as cheese, soft meats, meats with high-fat content, sticky bakery ingredients and brined pickles. In addition to mastering challenging throughputs, the equipment’s clean-cutting action achieves high yields of precise, targeted cut sizes well within customers’ parameters.
This new dicer incorporates design elements from the longstanding Model RA series, the Affinity and the Sprint, with the ability to replace existing in-line Model RA series machines. Compared to the standard Model RA-HD, this machine accepts larger infeed product sizes combined with a larger impeller case that is capable of increasing yield by up to 20%. When compared the standard RA-A, it could deliver as much as a 50% greater yield.
As increases vary per product, free-of-charge test cuttings are encouraged to quantify achieved capacities. Visitors to the Urschel stand will be able to avail themselves to more information, and to view a video showing several different products being cut on this new machine.
Unitherm Food Systems will spotlight its Real Charcoal Belt Grill at booth 2243. With capacities of 1,500 to 10,000 pounds per hour, it is especially designed for meat, poultry and seafood processors who are already grilling in some form, or who are looking to broaden their product range to acquire new customers.

The company’s “Hybrid” design reportedly has field-proven production rates with 25-30% less energy usage.
Visitors who want to go with the flow can visit SPX Flow at stand 812 to learn about a wide range of APV plate heat exchanger frame compression technologies, connection types and sanitary accessories for increased heat transfer efficiency and cleanability. Having made installations at food and beverage plants all over the world, SPX Flow is adapt at meeting the most challenging heat transfer needs in today’s marketplace.
