Hayward, California-based Fijian Import & Export Co. is recalling approximately 127 pounds of frozen meat pie products from Australia that were not presented to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) for import reinspection upon entry into the United States.
The ready to heat and eat Four ’N Twenty brand Traveller Philly Cheesesteak pastry was distributed in 5.6 oz. plastic packaging with a use by date of August 20, 2025, and bears establishment number 265 printed inside the Australia inspection mark. The microwaveable products were shipped to Rutter’s convenience store locations in Pennsylvania.
While there has been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of the Aussie beef pies, anyone concerned about an injury or illness should not hesitate to contact a healthcare provider.
FSIS is concerned that some packages may be in home freezers or refrigerators. Consumers who have purchased the meat pie pastries are urged not to eat them. They should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase for a refund.
