Saffron Road has been recertified as a Certified B Corporation with a higher score of 92.5, underscoring its leadership in purpose-driven business. With this milestone, the Stamford, Connecticut-headquartered company remains the first and only Halal Certified B Corp food brand in the United States.
This achievement comes as Saffron Road introduces a major renovation of its core frozen entrée line, including 50% to 100% more chicken or lamb in all respective entrées, the removal of seed oils in favor of healthier fats in core SKUs, and the introduction of compostable trays later this year.
“Very few companies make the cut as a B Corporation,” said Adnan Durrani, founder and chief executive officer of Saffron Road. “To be recertified at an even higher level is profoundly uplifting. It validates what we’ve always stood for. We don’t just sell food, we sell values for a value.”
B Corporation Certification is among the most rigorous standards in business, measuring everything from a company’s environmental stewardship to how it treats its people. By raising its score, Saffron Road proves that mission-driven brands can scale without sacrificing soul.
“Our mission has always been about more than meals, but about purpose. After all, Saffron Road’s Core Values are: Purpose Beyond Profit, Passion for Food and Culture, Driven to Discover, Grit and Perseverance, and We Win Together,” added Durrani. “We’re humbled to carry this banner as the country’s only Halal Certified B Corp food brand.”
