White Lily Brings Southern Biscuit Tradition to Retail Freezer Aisles

For more than 140 years, bakers in the USA southland have relied on the White Lily brand for tender, flaky homestyle biscuits. Now, Chicago, Illinois-based Hometown Food Company, formed by Brynwood Partners in August of 2018, is bringing that same tradition to the freezer aisle with the launch of White Lily Frozen Biscuits. The ready-to-bake products, distributed in 768-gram twelve-packs, deliver homemade taste and texture to enjoy in less than 30 minutes.

Made with the same heritage recipe that has made White Lily a biscuit baking favorite for generations, the new frozen offerings are crafted with 100% soft winter wheat flour. They bake up golden and fluffy, providing a convenient way to enjoy authentic Southern biscuits without the prep.

Suitable for breakfast sandwiches as well as traditional biscuit and gravy servings, or as a warm side dish at dinner, two new SKUs are debuting in 27 oz. packages at select Southeastern retail stores this spring:

Southern Buttermilk Biscuits – featuring a tangy buttermilk flavor and a soft, fluffy interior

Classic Butter Biscuits – rich, buttery flavor with tender, flaky layers

“White Lily has been at the heart of Southern baking for generations,” said Dan Anglemyer, chief operating officer of Chicago, Illinois-based Hometown Food Company. “These frozen biscuits deliver the same light, fluffy texture our fans love, now in a convenient heat-and-serve format.”
