Columbus, Ohio-headquartered Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams has released its annual Splendid Holiday Collection, featuring six limited-time flavors inspired by the nostalgic cookies, confections, and celebratory sips that make this time of year so flavorful.
Leading the festivities is new Sticky Toffee Pudding, which takes its cue from the beloved British dessert, folding brown sugar cake and buttery toffee sauce into vanilla and date molasses custard. Rich, comforting and worthy of its own holiday tradition, it joins a festive lineup of five returning dessert-inspired flavors, from Italian classics to the familiar pleasures of peppermint and eggnog. All the favorites are available now in Jeni’s scoop shops across the United States as well as on line.
The products include:
• Sticky Toffee Pudding (new!) – Vanilla and date custard with brown sugar cake and buttery toffee sauce.
• White Chocolate Peppermint – A swirl of pink and white peppermint with white chocolate freckles, inspired by Jeni’s grandma’s cookies.
• Pistachio Macaron – Roasted pistachio cream with a savory finish and nougat-like honey texture.
• Boozy Eggnog – Velvety egg custard spiked with nutmeg and whiskey. (Pints only)
• Cranberry Panettone with Chocolate Sprinkles – Brioche-scented custard with cranberry-orange jam and chocolate sprinkles.
• Black Tie Tiramisu – A swirl of mocha and mascarpone ice creams with ladyfinger cookies and a chocolate drizzle.
This year, the festivities extend beyond pints with Jeni’s first holiday ice cream sandwich and ice cream bar. The Buttercream Sugar Cookie ice cream sandwich pairs buttercream frosting ice cream with vanilla sugar cookies and rainbow sprinkles. It tastes like a sugar cookie double-stuffed with buttercream icing. The Mexican Hot Chocolate Brownie J-Bar brings a little heat to the holidays, swirling dark chocolate-cayenne ice cream with Mexican vanilla-cinnamon ice cream and chewy brownies.
Both seasonal treats are available at major national food retail stores including Kroger and Whole Foods Market. The Buttercream Sugar Cookie Sandwich has also be listed at Target and Harris Teeter and is available now at Costco outlets in the southeastern USA region.
