What began as a tavern on Chicago’s Southside in 1923 that has officially serving its signature crispy crust since the early 1940’s, Home Run Inn has now ventured deeper into its almost 80-year old tavern-style roots with the launch of Home Run Inn Pan Pizza, now available in all Chicagoland Jewel stores and Tony’s Fresh Market locations.
Featuring Home Run Inn’s unique flavorful crust, the Pan Pizza range is thicker and generously loaded with sliced mozzarella and signature tomato sauce, blended with a proprietary family recipe. It’s available in five 9-inch varieties – Cheese, Sausage, Sausage Pepperoni, Meat Lovers and Pepperoni.
“We’re proud to introduce Pan Pizza to the Home Run Inn frozen pizza lineup while staying true to the quality, flavor, and tradition that have defined our brand for nearly 80 years,” said Dan Costello, Home Run Inn’s chief executive officer and fourth-generation family member. “Made from scratch just like our original tavern-style pizza, with all-natural ingredients, our new products offers customers another delicious way to enjoy the Home Run Inn flavor they know and love, now with a thicker crust.”
In kicking-off the Pan Pizza, Home Run Inn Restaurants will host “Free Pizza Fridays” every Friday throughout the month of November, where the purchase of any extra-large (XL) cheese or sausage pizza for dine-in or carryout includes a free frozen Home Run Inn pan pizza (one per order).
