Diversified Communications on June 18 released figures for the 22nd edition of Seafood Expo Global and the 16th running of Seafood Processing Global, the world’s largest trade fair of its kind. The exposition, which took place May 6-9 at the Parc des Expositions in Brussels, Belgium, welcomed more than 25,840 buyers, sellers and visitors from 150 countries. Seafood products, equipment and services were displayed by 1,721 companies occupying over 35,000 square meters of combined exhibit space.

“Exhibits increased by more than 1,160 square meters, and we’ve seen an impressive 9% increase in visitor attendance over last year,” said Liz Plizga, show director for Diversified Communications. “The continued growth shows that meeting face-to-face matters to the seafood community, and that Brussels remains a central location for doing business in the global seafood industry.”

“The exposition has been located in Brussels for many years,” said Mary Larkin, vice president of Diversified Communications. “We make it a priority to work in partnership with the city to ensure that the thousands of international seafood professionals coming to Brussels for the event have the best positive experience and want to keep coming back to do business.”

Next year’s Seafood Expo Global and Seafood Processing Global will take place April 21-23 at the same venue. For more information, visit the Portland, Maine, USA-headquartered organizer’s website: www.seafoodexpo.com/global.
