It’s Lobsterfest time again at Red Lobster restaurants in North America. For a limited period, exclusive dishes on the chain’s expanded menu range from Lobster Lover’s Dream, Dueling Lobster Tails and Rock Island Stuffed Tilapia to Wood-Grilled Lobster, Shrimp and Salmon, Roasted Maine Lobster Bake and Lobster Scampi Linguini.

“During Lobsterfest, we’re giving guests all kinds of ways to enjoy the tender, sweet flavor of lobster – whether as the star of the plate, part of a seafood combination dish or an ingredient in a sauce or stuffing,” said Dustin Hilinski, executive chef and culinary director. “For guests that want it all, we’ve brought back our Dueling Lobster Tails – two Maine lobster tails, one roasted and topped with tender shrimp in a creamy garlic sauce, the other golden-baked with crab-and-seafood stuffing.”

Diners can enjoy any of the promotion’s entrees with a new cocktail – Lobster Punch. The limited edition specialty drink features Malibu Red, pineapple juice and mango passion fruit mix, topped with Myers’s Dark Rum. The cocktail is served in a commemorative Red Lobster mason jar that is available for purchase.

“Lobsterfest is our largest, most signature promotion, and our guests look forward to it all year,” said Danielle Connor, senior vice president of menu strategy and development. “We’re excited to feature exclusive entrées, and are inviting guests to share their lobster experiences with us on social media.”

National television advertising for Lobsterfest, which kicked off on February 2, communicates the wide variety of lobster options available. The commercials mark the second iteration of the evolved Sea Food Differently advertising campaign that launched in January, featuring colorful food photography as well as a new voiceover.

Other marketing activities will include campaigns on the restaurant’s digital and social media platforms, including a sweepstakes that will run during the Lobsterfest promotion.
