Captain D’s, the Nashville, Tennessee-headquartered fast casual seafood chain, has launched Batter Dipped Shrimp  – a first in the company’s history. Known best for more than 55 years for its Hand-Batter Dipped Fish, the restaurant is now extending that same golden, crispy expertise to premium shrimp for a limited time.

Through October 26, customers can order the Batter Dipped Shrimp, Fish & Fries Meal featuring four Batter Dipped Shrimp, a piece of Captain D’s signature Batter Dipped Fish, and fries or another side dish for $5.99 at participating outlets in the United States.

The signature batter is prepared in-house every day. Savory and slightly seasoned, this proprietary blend cooks to a crisp texture.

“Our guests know and love the flavor and crunch of our Batter Dipped Fish,” said Bindi Menon, chief marketing officer of Captain D’s. “With our new Batter Dipped Shrimp, we’re giving them that same crave-worthy taste in a whole new way, while delivering the value that Captain D’s is known for.”

In addition to the $5.99 deal, the limited-time Batter Dipped Shrimp will be offered in popular meals like The Sampler and The Ultimate Seafood Platter.

Captain D’s operates more than 525 restaurants in 22 US states and Canada. Founded in 1969, its menu also features grilled items including shrimp and salmon, as well as hush puppies, desserts and beverages.
