Bill Kynast, senior vice president of sales for Chobani, has been elected to serve as chairman of the board of the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-headquartered National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) . Having served on as a director since 2019 and previously held the position of chairman-elect from 2024-25, he has been an active leader in advancing the association’s mission and engagement with the industry and is a member of the Honorable Order of Golden Penguins.
“It’s an incredible honor to serve,” said Kynast (pictured above). “Our industry continues to evolve quickly, and NFRA plays a unique role in uniting brands, retailers and partners to drive growth, innovation, and consumer connection. I’m excited to work alongside this talented board and membership to champion the frozen and refrigerated categories and build on the strong foundation already in place.”
Kynast’s election took place during the NFRA’ annual board of directors meeting and convention in Orlando, Florida, at which time other officers rose in the ranks, including: Chairman-Elect, Shannon Gilreath of Rich’s Consumer Brands; Secretary, Derek DeMuth of Ajinomoto Foods North America; Treasurer, Lindsey Hickey of Simek’s; Vice Chairman-Frozen, Scott Evans of Associated Wholesale Grocers; Vice Chairman-Refrigerated, Kevin Herd of Danone North America.
