Saffron Road has launched Crossroads, a frozen meals mashup range loaded with protein, cleaner ingredients and a lot of flavor to savor. The Stamford, Connecticut-based company’s R&D team has reimagined pasta night, as familiar formats collide with deeply layered sauces, slow-developed spice profiles and indulgent melty cheeses – made to rival restaurant dishes.
Each entrée features at least 24 grams of protein per serving, is Seed Oil Free Certified, offers low or no added sugar, and is packaged in a plant-based fiber tray.
Here’s the lineup:
• Beef Birria Rigatoni. Slow-braised beef birria and rigatoni drenched in a smoky guajillo-chipotle sauce, finished with a molten layer of Monterey Jack cheese.
• Butter Chicken Cavatappi. Tender yogurt-marinated white meat chicken swirled into cavatappi and coated in a spice-layered butter sauce.
• Cheesy Korean-Inspired Ravioli. Pillowy cheese ravioli in a creamy sweet-heat gochujang sauce, balanced by melted mozzarella.
• Hatch Chile Chicken Pesto. Grilled white meat chicken and bowtie pasta tossed in a bold hatch chile-basil pesto with Parmesan cheese.
• Lemon Miso Chicken Alfredo. Fettuccine swirled in a creamy lemon-miso Alfredo, layered with grilled white meat chicken.

With the rollout, Crossroads has also introduced a striking new design expression for Saffron Road. Each package unites two bold colors and distinct patterns — one on each side — saluting the two culinary traditions behind every mashup. The visual contrast mirrors what’s inside: unexpected pairings, global creativity and bold flavor. Anchoring it all is the Saffron Road shield logo.
“Consumer expectations aren’t standing still, and neither is frozen” said CEO Paul Turbeville. “Protein standards are higher. Ingredient transparency is non-negotiable. But consumers are also craving something new – a sense of culinary adventure. Flavor has to compete with what they can get outside the home.”
