Hanover Foods Corp. has launched a Skinny Veg frozen vegetable product line in the United States to serve the growing market of consumers using GLP-1 weight-loss medications. The assortment includes Broccoli & Quinoa, Brussels Sprouts & Couscous, Spinach & Blackeye Peas, and Riced Cauliflower & Lentils.

“We believe the ingredient list should be the least surprising part of your meal, which is why Skinny Veg is intentionally simple,” said Jeff Warehime, chief executive officer of the Hanover, Pennsylvania-headquartered company. “Our Skinny Veg sides have just five simple ingredients [one vegetable, one grain or legume, avocado oil, pepper and sea salt]. There are no additives or preservatives – just real food for real people.”

He continued: ”We know consumers are looking for smart, healthy options that pack a flavorful punch. Our Skinny Veg products offer a healthy option from a trusted source. For more than 100 years, we have been a family-owned company that is committed to producing quality foods made with care and delivered with excellence, from seed to fork. That’s our mission.”

Hanover Foods’ Skinny Veg products were listed at select stores in August and expects to expand distribution to its full retail network in North American during early 2027.

Founded in 1924, Hanover Foods is one of the largest family-owned food companies in the United States, producing a wide range of products ranging from flash frozen vegetables to canned vegetables, beans, and chili, to freshly prepared fare and snacks. The business operates from 12 locations across the USA and Guatemala where approximately 3,000 people are employed.
