The American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI) welcomed a record number of executives from across the frozen food supply chain to AFFI-CON 2024, which concluded on Feb. 27. Nearly 1,600 professionals from more than 500 companies convened in San Diego for the four-day convention.
“We are committed to fostering industry growth through data, insights and programming such as AFFI-CON,” said Alison Bodor, the Arlington, Virginia-headquartered trade association’s chief executive officer. “This event provides a unique opportunity for one-on-one meetings, preparing business for the entire year, and setting your company up for success. The record-breaking attendance of people from around the globe proves the value that the entire industry finds in AFFI-CON.”
During the convention, John Tentomas, chief executive officer of Nature’s Touch Frozen Foods, was confirmed as AFFI’s board chairman for a one-year term. Suvan Sharma, chief executive officer of Jain Farm Fresh Foods, was named chairman-elect.
The following were elected to AFFI’s executive committee for one-year terms: Rick Drummond, B&G Foods; Debbie Radie, Boardman Foods; Tracey Beck, Conagra Brands; Tony Shurman, Jasper Wyman & Son; and Brian Fox, Richelieu Foods.
Elected to serve on the board of directors for 2024-27 terms were: Jeff Preston, ArdoVLM; Jeff Tuttle, Bellisio Foods; Peter Johnston, Cavendish Farms; Jennifer Weekes, Lamb Weston; Tina Almond, McCain Foods; Rick Holdren, The Pictsweet Company; Jieun Lee, Schwan’s Company; and Blake Smittcamp, Wawona Frozen Foods.
