Two value added vegetable dishes are among three new frozen products that have been launched under Nomad Foods’ Aunt Bessie’s banner in the United Kingdom. Now available in Sainsbury’s supermarkets, they complement a 20% bigger Gigantic Yorkshire in a campaign promoting new and improved taste and size offerings to shoppers looking to add a twist to traditional Sunday roast dinners.

The 300g Cauliflower Cheese Topped with a Crispy Breadcrumb and Broccoli Florets in a Lemon & Black Pepper Glaze vegetable sides gained listings previously, having debuted at the end of last year at Iceland Food Warehouse outlets and Ocado.

“We are continuously looking for ways to improve our products so that families looking to mix up their roast dinners have the best options available. The renovation of our Gigantic Yorkshire is key to this, with consumer research helping us launch an improved product that is not only 20% bigger, but also provides a boost of excitement and difference to traditional roast dinners, while still delivering the great taste and quality that Aunt Bessie’s is known for,” said Claire Hoyle, who heads up the marketing effort.

She added: “Following two years of restricted celebrations, we’re now seeing a renewed focus on ‘show-stopping’ roast dinners that create an even more special moment around the dinner table. With an increasing demand for premium roast components, we’ve launched our two vegetable sides to help make the all-important Sunday roasts an exciting and enjoyable experience, without compromising on taste or convenience.”
