Banquet Takes a Spin on ‘Meal of Fortune’ Sweepstakes

Banquet, a brand of ConAgra Foods, and Wheel of Fortune, America’s most-watched television game show, have announced a nationwide “watch, match and win sweepstakes” that will award cash and other prizes to lucky winners. Consumers can enter online, via snail mail, or by collecting game pieces found in specially marked packages of Banquet frozen meals, pot pies and desserts.

banquet hdrThe Banquet brand of frozen products runs the gamut from single- and family-serve entrees, pot pies and fruit pies to snacks, breakfast sausage and prepared chicken. Among its offerings are Salisbury Steak with Mashed Potatoes, Mac & Cheese Bites, Fettuccini Alfredo, Turkey and Gravy, Chicken Nuggets and Fries, and Loaded Potato Bites.

“Since 1953, we’ve strived to deliver meals that provide value to our consumers,” said John Plaso, vice president and general manager of Omaha, Nebraska-headquartered ConAgra Foods. “Our partnership with Wheel of Fortune helps us further deliver on that promise in a fun, engaging way.”

The promotion features nearly 48 million specially marked Banquet frozen dinners, each with a game piece and an online entry code. Consumers can visit to try and solve a puzzle to win instant prizes such as free servings of Banquet foods or cash. During ‘Meal of Fortune’ week, September 29 through October 3, players will have the chance to match their game pieces to one of the special puzzles each night to win cash prizes.
