Fancy a pint? In the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand there’s no question that this question is an inquiry about whether the person addressed would like to indulge in a large glass full of 20 imperial fluid ounces of amber fluid – generally in the form of real ale or hand pulled draught beer.
However, in the USA – a country separated from Britain and other English speaking countries by a common language – many folks who fancy pints might well be in the market for a 16-ounce container of ice cream. And as of July 10 they can order Ben & Jerry’s flavors online via store.benjerry.com to receive direct home or office delivery of the frozen confectionery nationwide. The digital storefront offers a full selection of the South Burlington, Vermont-based company’s traditional and non-dairy pints, as well as the newest innovation to hit retail ice cream shelves: the Pint Slice.
“With increasing popularity of online shopping and fans seeking to get their hands on a pint via mobile, now was the perfect time for us to bring the Ben & Jerry’s experience to e-commerce. Even better, fans can get their hands on Ben & Jerry’s swag to compliment their pints,” said Jody Eley, associate global innovation manager. “Want a pint of Chubby Hubby, a box of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Pint Slices and a swanky new Ben & Jerry’s t-shirt to sport while spooning deep into your pint? You got it!”
Whirl of Chunks and Swirls
Meanwhile, with National Ice Cream Month now in full swing in the United States, Ben & Jerry’s has put a spin on chunks and swirls with Pint Slices offered up in a round single serving, enrobed in a decadent chocolatey coating. The slices of ice cream are available in four flavors: Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Vanilla Peanut Butter Cup, and Americone Dream.
In addition, three new non-dairy flavors and three new traditional pints are now available on shelves. Non-dairy fans can scoop up Cherry Garcia, Coconut Seven Layer Bar, and Caramel Almond Brittle. Long time fans continue to queue up for the taste of uber foodie Urban Bourbon, Truffle Kerfuffle, and Oat of this Swirled. The 2017 introductions are full of the latest in daring dessert flavor trends.
A lineup of new cereal milk flavors now available in Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops reminds consumers of Saturday mornings spent watching cartoons on TV. Cocoa Loco, Frozen Flakes and Frozen Fruities bring the unmistakable taste of milk-splashed cereal to the ice cream parlor and are available only for a limited time.
Most recently, One Love was launched with the Marley family’s blessing at West Hollywood’s iconic Roxy Theater. This banana-based, Bob Marley-inspired batch benefits Jamaica’s One Love Youth Camp. It’s available in pints and at Scoop Shops for a limited time, and is a groovy kind of thing for those who believe that chocolatey peace signs in ice cream are perfect for sharing with those they love.
These new flavors join more than 50 others in the Ben & Jerry’s portfolio, which is more than enough to satisfy fans throughout July’s hot National Ice Cream Month and beyond. Currently, the Unilever company’s most favorite offerings in the United States, based on sales, are:
- Half Baked
- Cherry Garcia
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
- Chocolate Fudge Brownie
- The Tonight Dough
- Americone Dream
- Phish Food
