Bidfood, one of the United Kingdom’s leading wholesale suppliers to foodservice operators, has opened a new depot in Worcester and is now phasing in deliveries from this summer until later this year.

Located at the Worcester Six Business Park, the site offers transport links to the Midlands region and supports the communities in which it operates by providing approximately 200 new jobs to local people.

The depot covers 60,000 square feet of space and boasts high quality, modern facilities that offer additional capacity supporting growing customer demand in and around the Birmingham area.

“Worcester will provide an outstanding addition to our already strong depot network,” said Mark Wood, chief operating officer. “The introduction of yet another depot continues to emphasize the importance that we place on long-term investment in our infrastructure.”

He added: “Following record volumes of items handled by the Bidfood network recently, the addition of this new depot will further enhance our ability to provide our customers with service excellence and ultimately place us closer to them.”

Meanwhile, the wholesaler can also confirm the development of a 28th depot in Durham. Expected to open sometime in the summer of 2026, it will further strengthen Bidfood’s estate in the North East of England.
