Bindi, supplier of frozen Italian and other European-style cakes, desserts, gelato, sorbetto and other products to the foodservice sector in more than 60 countries, is now offering at-home delivery service directly to consumers in New York City, Northern/Central New Jersey and the Greater Los Angeles and Orange County area.

The service is aimed at maintaining the company’s production capacity and keeping employees working, as well as creating an additional channel for retail grocery delivery as key local and national grocery distribution providers are overwhelmed by demand. The retail surge follows the closure of restaurant dining rooms ordered by state governments and local health authorities intent on slowing the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus.

Bindi products available for at-home delivery are not limited to popular signature items like the Mixed Berry Cake, Tiramisu and Profiteroles. Also included are croissants and other breakfast menu selections as well as pizza and pasta.

The company will donate 10% of its at-home delivery revenues to the James Beard Foundation Food and Beverage Relief Fund, as it stands by foodservice partners during this challenging time.

Consumers who reside within a 30-mile radius from Bindi facilities in Kearny, New Jersey and Paramount, California may place orders directly calling 973-812-8118 in the Garden State and 562-531-4301 in California. In most cases, orders placed before 5 PM will be delivered to the customer’s doorstep the following day.

Beyond the 30-mile radius, clients on the East Coast may call 1-800-882-4634. Ext. 1, while those on the West Coast should dial 562-531-4301, Ext. 1.

Bindi has a production plant in Belleville, New Jersey, as well as two factories in Milan, Italy. In business since 1946, the company supplies over 500 items to customers spanning the globe from Europe and North America to Turkey, Russia, Asia and Australia.
