Bite into Dr. Praeger’s Cauliflower Veggie Burgers and Help Farmers Against Hunger Feed the Needy

Dr. Praeger’s Sensible Foods has rolled out the Cauliflower Veggie Burger, distributed in retail packs containing two four-ounce patties priced at $4.99. In addition to cauliflower, the recipe includes five other vegetables including zucchini, peas and kale, plus brown rice and quinoa. Serving up nine grams of protein and only 210 calories per burger, all vegan-certified ingredients are non-GMO, gluten-free, soy-free and kosher.

In its continued mission to support local and sustainable agriculture, the Elmwood Park, New Jersey, USA-headquartered company is donating a percentage of Cauliflower Burger sales to Farmers Against Hunger (FAH). Since 1996, the non-profit organization has been working behind-the-scenes as a bridge between the state’s agricultural sector and hunger relief groups. Its mission is to reduce food waste by helping farmers and wholesalers share surplus products with those in need, and to reduce food insecurity by ensuring access to fresh and healthy produce for families.

The new burger can be purchased online at shopdrpraegers.com and at many supermarkets and other retail stores, among them Meijer, Wegmans, Publix,  Kroger and Whole Foods.
