Burger King Worldwide, Inc. is stretching its summer menu with the introduction of the Extra Long BBQ Cheeseburger. Featuring a fire-grilled and sweet barbecue flavor, the product consists of two 100% beef burger patties layered side by side on a toasted hoagie bun and topped with American cheese, onion rings and barbecue sauce.
“The new savory Extra Long BBQ Cheeseburger is the perfect example of how you can order and eat your way at our restaurants,” said Eric Hirschhorn, chief marketing officer for Burger King Corporation in North America. “Instead of stacking the patties, we’ve placed them side by side and topped them with two summer favorites, crispy onion rings and sweet barbecue sauce, for a sandwich that is a fun twist on a classic burger.”
The new product is available at participating Burger King outlets in the USA for a suggested price of $3.59. It is also a part of the chain’s 2 for $5 menu – alongside Big King and Chicken Big King sandwiches, Original Chicken and Big Fish sandwiches – which offers guests the option to mix and match them for just $5 all summer long.
